Transposing the Design
In January 2024 Terri set up a work station in the newly opened Stourbridge Glass Museum. With the blank prepared and the many photographs at hand, taken by Ian Dury all those years ago in Naples, Terri started to transposed the design onto this slightly different shaped vase. The design was rendered onto an adhesive plastic resist material which was then cut out ready for the unwanted outer opal casing to be removed by sandblasting.

Finishing Touches
Upon completion of the carving handles were fashioned by a local artisan and a wrought iron stand made to support the amphora shaped vase in the style of the original Blue Amphoriskos vase from Pompeii known as the Naples vase.
The completed vase was revealed to the public on May 17th 2025 at the Stourbridge Glass Museum.
