It provides an brief overview of the history of glass and the development of Thomas Webb & Sons. It covers the achievements of Thomas Wilkes Webb, the exhibitions and awards received.
There is a section entitled “Webb glass of yesterday” in which the various types of glass produced are described and illustrated. Glass such as Alexandrite, Burmese, cameo, rock crystal, engraved and gilded. Another section deals with the production glass of 1978, the year the book was published.
